This wood is sustainable because it is a by-product of the mango industry: once the trees have completed their fruit production, they are felled and replanted. Mango trees grow quickly, in just 15 years, while, for example, oak trees take 50 to 100 years. This process ensures that no tropical rainforest is cut down and that the wood gets a second life as robust furniture.
