The vases are made from an ecomix consisting of old newspapers, chalk powder & glue in various percentages. The process begins with old newspapers that are first soaked in water and then ground into pulp. This pulp is mixed with chalk powder and a natural glue made from melted tree resin. This mixture is beaten into sheets with a wooden hammer and pressed into a plaster mold. Because these molds can only be used 10 to 12 times, each item remains exclusive. After days of air-drying and treatment with a protective sealer, a vase is created that is both ecologically and economically responsible. It is a beautiful interplay of natural materials and expert craftsmanship.
Because this vase is made of papier-mâché and chalk, it requires specific treatment. The most important thing to remember: the vase is not waterproof. Therefore, use it exclusively as a decorative object or fill it with beautiful dried flowers and branches. To keep the color and matte finish beautiful, dusting with a dry, soft cloth or a feather duster is sufficient. Avoid damp areas and direct sunlight to prevent discoloration. This way, the artisanal character of the material will be preserved for years.
