The finish is based on an age-old technique using a mixture of slaked lime to protect and beautify wood. This gives it the characteristic whitewashed look, which beautifully highlights the natural grain of the wood. Outdoors, the wood will develop a natural grey tint over time. For use in damp areas, a sealer is recommended for extra protection.
