The table is entirely made of FSC-recycled teak wood, so no two tops are exactly alike.
The wood of our teak Invierno tables has an honest and special story. The tables are made from FSC-certified recycled teak wood, sourced from old plantations in Indonesia that have been strictly managed by the government since the 16th century. Because teak does not naturally grow wild there, no tropical forests are cut down for these tables. Thanks to a special trade agreement with the EU, every piece of wood is fully traceable back to where the tree was once planted. This way, you bring a responsibly produced piece of furniture into your home.
Maintenance is fortunately very simple. Because teak wood is naturally oily, dirt is less likely to penetrate. A damp cloth is often enough to freshen up the table. We do recommend always using coasters for your glasses and pans. This prevents heat or moisture from leaving unsightly rings and stains in the wood. Do you want to keep the color deep and warm? Then treat the table occasionally with a special oil.
