This table is made of high-quality teak wood from Indonesia. What makes this wood so special is not only its enormous strength but especially its responsible origin. The teak wood comes from strictly managed plantations. Because teak does not grow wild in Indonesia, you don't have to worry about deforestation of precious tropical rainforests. Since 2016, the Indonesian government has also strictly monitored the timber trade with the FLEGT system (an agreement with the EU). The great thing about teak wood is that it pretty much stays beautiful on its own. If you like that characteristic silver-grey color, you only need to occasionally wipe the table with a soft brush and some lukewarm water. Then treat the table once or twice a year with a good teak oil.
