To keep the lamp dust-free (and that beautiful shadow play sharp), all you need to do is occasionally dust it with a feather duster or a vacuum cleaner (on the softest setting with a brush). Did a small stain accidentally appear? A slightly damp cloth is usually enough, as long as you don't make the rattan soaking wet. By not hanging the lamp directly above a heat source such as a stove, you prevent the material from drying out, and the wickerwork will remain supple and beautifully colored for years.
